Retirement Surveys

Retirement Confidence Survey (RCS) - The RCS is the longest-running annual retirement survey of its kind in the nation. Sponsored by the Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI), the American Savings Education Council (ASEC), and Mathew Greenwald & Associates (Greenwald), the annual RCS is a random, nationally representative survey of 1,000 individuals age 25 and over.

2007 Minority Retirement Confidence Survey – The MRCS is a survey that gauges the views and attitudes of working-age African-Americans and Hispanics, their preparations for retirement, their confidence with regard to various aspects retirement, and related issues. The 2007 MRCS was sponsored by the nonpartisan Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI) and Mathew Greenwald & Associates, a survey research firm, and was underwritten by a grant from The Rockefeller Foundation. The Small Employer Retirement Survey (SERS) - The SERS interviews 300 small employers (with five to 100 full-time workers) in the United States that do not have a retirement plan. The survey provides insight into why these companies do not offer retirement plans, how much they know about the different retirement plan options and incentives offered to small businesses, and what would motivate them to offer their employees a plan.

Preparing for Their Future: A Look at the Financial State of Gen X and Gen Y - Members of Generations X and Y, acknowledging that they need to pick up the slack when it comes to planning for their futures, are thinking about retirement and have defined financial goals. The on-line survey of 1,752 individuals between the ages of 19-39 was conducted between January 4 and 24, 2008.
