America’s population and labor force have grown older as the Baby Boom generation has aged. As a result, analyzing the labor force trends of these older Americans is constructive in understanding how this demographic is changing, including its race/ethnicity composition. This week’s Fast Fact examines the age distribution of the labor force among Americans ages 55 or older. In addition, the makeup of the labor force of this age group in terms of race and ethnicity is also reviewed.
