Jonathan Epstein is the President and Founder of the Defined Contribution Alternatives Association (DCALTA). With more than 30 years of experience in the retirement services industry, he is a leading voice in advancing the role of alternative investments as defined contribution savers seek diversification and improved retirement outcomes.

Since founding DCALTA in 2015, Jonathan has guided the organization’s mission as a non-profit dedicated to advocacy, research, and education for industry stakeholders on responsibly incorporating private markets and other non-traditional investments within a DC framework.

He is frequently quoted in leading publications, including The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Financial Times, and Plan Sponsor. Jonathan earned his MBA from Nova Southeastern University and his BS from Florida State University, and he holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) designation.
