Emerson Sprick is the director of retirement and labor policy at the Bipartisan Policy Center. His areas of expertise include Social Security and other social insurance programs, retirement and financial security policy, federal data, and the labor market. 

Sprick works closely with members of both parties and is a trusted expert for policymakers on Capitol Hill. He routinely speaks about retirement and economic policy at industry conferences, to public audiences, and with reporters. He is regularly featured in major national media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and The Washington Post, and has appeared on broadcasts by NPR, SiriusXM, and others. 

Previously, Sprick worked for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce supporting the fundraising and development efforts of the president and CEO. He earned a B.S. in economics from the University of Missouri and an M.A. in economics from Georgetown University. 

Sprick is a member of the National Academy of Social Insurance and a contributing researcher for the Alliance for Lifetime Income’s Retirement Income Institute.
